Vid+update A hacker defaced an electronic parking sign with a “poem” of vulgarities – and has since told The Register it was not a protest against the acquittal of Dominique Strauss-Kahn on pimping charges, although he did do it right under the noses of the Gendarmerie Nationale.
When hacker got bored (proof video)
A self-described “bored hacker” fiddled with a parking sign situated on the Boulevard Louis XVI in the city of Lille, presenting drivers with the short poem “Bite / Couille / Chatte / Cul” or “Dick / Testicle / Pussy / Arse”.
The ode was said to have been composed in protest against the acquittal of Dominique Strauss-Kahn on charges of “aggressive pimping”. Strauss-Kahn had initially been held at the police station beside the manipulated sign in 2012, reported The Local.
A French court found that Strauss-Kahn, as head of the International Monetary Fund, neither instigated nor presided over the group sex sessions he attended with friends.
Operating under the pseudonym “i void warranties”, the Francophone hacker offered a cheeky response to those wondering how he managed to pull off the stunt. Twitter’s native Bing translation offered up his reply as: “Many wonder with what I made this Hack, here’s the answer:”

The hacker wrote that the vulgar display was cut after only 10 seconds, so as to prevent “children receiving the shock of their lifetimes” over the bad language, although children with YouTube access are still going to be able to see the rude words.
Update
The hacker later got in touch with El Reg to deny the stunt was a protest against the French politician:
@lexanderjmartin @jleyden it was a tribute to @dstrausskahn, the panel was in front of the place where he was arrested

@TheRegister The main hack was made to show the danger of connected hardware , the words were just there because of the place
— i void warranties (@ivoidwarrantie) September 2, 2015
@TheRegister It was absolutly not to protest against what happened to @dstrausskahn
