Fortune reporter Adam Lashinsky is writing a book about the company, Kara Swisher reports.
It is an expansion of an article he wrote that appeared in the magazine.
Unlike Walter Isaacson’s coming biography of Steve Jobs, Lashinsky’s work will be unauthorized.
He believes that helps the end product.
“Doing an unauthorized book is harder,” Lashinsky told Swisher. “But what you get is well-reported information, which is outside the message Apple wants to deliver, and there is so much good stuff, this company is worth far more than an article.”
