Spotify, the hot streaming music startup with involvement from such people as Sean Parker, formerly of Facebook, is preparing for a huge Facebook Music initiative that could be announced at F8 tomorrow.
Up until now, tracks could be shared by clicking the track info on the bottom left of the desktop app. It was a bit clunky and not very obvious. That appears to have changed with a Spotify desktop client update that comes without even having to download it.
Below you’ll see large share buttons that allow you to share individual tracks easier than ever before. This is key to mention, because if there is a huge Facebook integration like we’ve been hearing, that could mean that you could soon be seeing Spotify tracks streaming on all of your friends’ walls.
You’ll notice that the options to share are Facebook, Twitter, Spotify, and Messenger.
In that order.
Sharing tracks makes sense of course, because the more tracks that are shared, the more people know about Spotify and will hopefully subscribe. Since Facebook and Sean Parker have a history that includes Parker’s involvement himself, as well as the popular Causes app, this partnership could be a huge milestone for both companies.
