Apple has now sold 250 Million iOS devices. Looking at browsing, iOS accounts for 61% of that market versus Android and other mobile browsers.

Senior VP of iOS Software at Apple Inc., Scott Forstall, stated, “We’ve already sold more than a quarter billion devices. That makes iOS the number 1 mobile OS.”

The announcement was made at Apple’s “Let’s Talk iPhone” event held at the company’s Cupertino headquarters.

This iPhone is completely compatible with Apple’s new iOS 5 software. iOS 5 is the next major revision to Apple’s software for iPhone, iPod, Apple TV and iPad devices.
